dejavu

Yesterday I watched Dejavu.It was a wonderful film, in my opinion.The plot is about destiny.A terrorist blows up a ship and about400 people dies.A woman also dies before the explosion.The terrorist steals her car.A group of scientist develops a machine.Thanks to the machine they can see and go past.A police inspector decides to past and prevent this attackAnd he accomplishes.Before seeing this film, I used to believe that there was a fixed destiny although we had choices.I thought we chose our destinies.That is, I thought our choices led us to our fixed destinies, but after I watched the film I began to believe that we can change our destinies somehow.I recommend everybody, especially ones who have confusion about destiny to watch this interesting film.

the seasion I like most

Autumn.The seasion of poets.For some it is romentic.But rather than romentic it has something about reality I think.The end.The end of everything.Each yellow leaf whishpers us that there is no eternal creature in the world.Apart from this reality I enjoy its colors.Yellow, orange, brown leaves on the roads....Autumn reminds me that winter is coming, but summer follows the spring.There is more beatiful seasion after spring, but after autumn there is winter.For this reason although I enjoy autumn my favourite seasion is spring with colorful flowers, with sense of rebirth and life,with nice scent of flowers.In this seasion every part of nature is full of live.Autumn doesn't relax me instead I am sad in autumn seeing nature's death.so the seasion is winter now the nature has died already and I am looking forward to see its rebirt-spring...

a friendship story

I don't clearly remember,but I think I was five or six years old when a new family mowed near our home.I used to have a few friend at that time.And our new neighbords' daughter wanted to become friend with us, but I didn't want I don't know why.Somehow she began to join us, but I didn't want her participating in our games.(her name is Zeynep). One day we were playing games.There was an old woman in our neighborhood.She had a dog.It was a black and terrifiying creature.It began to run towards us.I sprained my wrist and I fell.All of my friends run except for Zeynep.She helped me and from that moment she became my best friend.Our frienship had contiuned up to high school.She is in İstanbul now.However, I don't know how she is.I wish we became friends forever...

the secret world of animals

I have read an article about animals recently; it was really interesting.I just wanted to write a brief summary in my blog.There is a long history of animals being used to defend and protect us from Hannibal's elephants to guide days for the blind.But nowadays there is a hole new dimension to what animals can do- inculiding spying missions!The US Navy started using trained sae lions to protect their parts in 2000.They can see and hear extremely well underwater, and are able to detect enemy swimmers and sea mines.pigeons were extensively used as messengers in the two World Wards and were so important that UK citizens could't shoot them.They had two crucial qualities:they were able to find their way and could fly at great speed.A Balgian research group has trained rats to find lanmies in zones like Mozambique.The article contiunes with such interesting animal treats.

mutluluk

Mutluluk is one of my favorite films.There is also a book version.It was written by Zülfü Livaneli.The film is more impressive than others in some aspects.First of all the characters are good in that they have been chosen well to explain the concept of ''töre''.The characters and plot are matched appropriately.The film tells us that in our country some people can accuse innoncent people in other words they conceal their own faults by accusing people through ''töre'' maybe misunderstanding of it or abusing it delibaretely for their purposes.Apart from plot the cast is really good.Özgü Namal has excellent performance in this film.Besides telling people fixed ideas, rules''töre'' the film also has a love story itself between main characters.To sum up, I strongly advise you to watch it if you haven't watced it pu to now.

PLAN FOR WRITING

We are taught 'plan' is important in writing.While we are making plan we note everything what we want to say and order our ideas.It is said that this is effective for a fluent writing.However I totally disagree with this idea, because when I make a plan,I think, there is no suprise both for me and for reader.Also I want to write anything which I haven't remember while making plan and I can't write it on account of its absence in plan.Plan is something really restricting my freedom in writing and I become happy when I write as I want without plan...

KIZIL NEHİRLER

The original name of the book is ''Les Riviers Pourpres''The story is developing around two main character'Niemans and Karim'They are police inspectors.There happens interesting murders.The murderer cuts victims' hands and takes their eyes.The reason of action is explained at the end of the book.Three victims are not innoncent.They are changing peasants'children with professors' childrenTherefore powerfull childrens are growing in an intellectual environment.And victims' dreams come true.They are planning everything for one action 'marvelous race'.But one day they change twins.And the children meet each other.The secret is revealed.And children make these murderer.They take victims eyes and hands to take their identity.Because each person has his/her own finger print and iris.These two determine who you are.The victims take childrens' identity and they take theirs.
I really enjoyed this book apart from its end.This book displays how human brain fuctions,I think.Each page of the book is full of action.I have read other books of Jean-christophe Grange like '' siyah kan ,leyleklerin uçuşu''All of his books suprise me ...I recommend you to read his books especially''Kızıl Nehirler''.

METU

Last year there were eleven people in our class.Our dream was to come Metu altogether and to make a group with six people from previous year in Foreing Language Department.We had seen Metu in advance and we enjoyed it a lot.While we were talking we used to say ”next year we will be doing this…at Metu.”But now some of us are stuying at Boğaziçi,some of us are studying at Hacettepe…Only two of us are studying at metu,I and Deniz,but we are still enjoying METU.When we came Metu in 2007,we saw Convention Centre and around Shopping centre.I can say,we enjoyed Metu a lot,but this year when I first saw our department location it dissapointed me alittle…At first it was really diffucult to get used to Metu.It seeemed like big for me or I can say a bit complex,but when I began to enjoy this complex it was wonderfull,Metu is a small city with its beauty.Before I didn’t come Metu,I had some information about the universty.Its campus,level of education,opprotunities after graduation etc…All of these information has a possitive effetct on me.In fact Metu is different from other universties.For this reason studying in Metu we are a bit lucky.So,I chose Metu .And I am happy with my decision now

Being universty student we can make our own decisions ourselves because we are thought as independent individuals by society.So attending classes should be optinonal.I think learning is something that a student responsible for.So student should decide whether he/she attend class or not.In this responsibility a student may not attend a class and he/she can fail at the concequence of exam for he/she doesn’t know the subject on account of her/his absence.So these failings,achievements,attendances …all of these are in responsibility of student.For this reason there shouldn’t be failings classes for a student ,for her/his absence

A ROSE STORY

Everything is subject to change.There is eternal change in universe and also in every creature including us.Even our face's condition isn't as same as its yesterday's condition.This change is more visible in ten years time,maybe.A rose is fading day by day.Our galaxy is going somewhere and it never goes the place it ever goes.These chsnges in universe take place by death and birth.Every day something dies in our environment no matther we notice it or not.Is the Sun same as yesterday's Sun?Or the day?Everyday one night dies,another day one night is born.We are not aware maybe but we are rapidly change too.One night there is a star in the sky but another night it isn't there.It dies...Every fall,one leaf dies, in spring another is born.Our lives are full of change.Even it is a change waiting its big change-death.I think every day is a rose given as a gift to us.I n this rapid change it will die and another rose will born.So we should use this rose carefully.Because there is no rebirth both for rose and us...

CHALLENGES

Everybody especially in today's society has to face some challenges.I have biggest challenges in my life this year.New city,new people and universty life...And I am alone with these challenges.At first it was really hard to get accustomed to my new place-maybe life.Most probably I will encounter bigger challenges in my future life.And I already had .For example the first day at school,high school,to grow up and begin to take responsibity,OSS...Each of us has challenges.In every part of our lives there are some challenges even we think we are comfortable.I think we can't escape these.Already,isn't life a challenge itself?

BLACK HOLES

How many things can you see in the sky?a lot!On a clear night tou might see the Moon and thousand of sparkling stars.You might see that some stars that look white are really red or blue.But scientist believe there are some things in sky that we will never see.We won't see them with the biggest telescope in the world,on the clearst night of the year.That is because they are invisible. the mysterious dead stars called black holes.Imagine if the earth were crushed until it was the size of a tiny marble.That is how tightly a dead star,black mhole ,is packed what pulls the star in toward its center with such power ? it is the same force that pulls you down when you jump -the force called gravity.A black hole is so tightly packed that its gravity sucks in everything-even light .The light from a black hole can never come back to your eyes.That is why you see nothing but blackness.So next time tou look at sky remember:there is more in the sky than that meets the eye!scattered in the silent darkness are black holes-the great mystery of space...

CRIME AND PUNISHMENT

Crime and Punishment is one of my favorite books.With this book author appraises the concept of crime. Main character of book is Raskolnikov.He is a student in universty. He kills a woman who is a usurer.He takes her belongings.You can be in favour of woman when you judge these knowledges.But Raskolnikov throws her belongings to the river.And when he kills the woman he doesn't think that he is killing a human instead he thinks he kills an idea.After the incedent he is effected badly.I recommend you to read it.When you read it you you will think about again what crime is...

Autumn

You think this is a typical autumn picture.But it is the picture of reality.And for me there is seperation.Every leaf is going somewhere,seperates from their place like me.The sun touch them when it set they become yellow and this time they understand it is time to go.And the road which they fall on is their new home.The road is stranger and merciless...

This is the photograph of my hometown.There is Afyon Castle.Maybe it is just a stone for you.But for me they are fellow citizen who are saying''hello''from the photograph.And these lights are dancing at my hometown's atmosphere...

COLORS

wHAT İS COLOR?Why do some objects look red,others green,others blue?Color is caused by reflected light rays.We see color because objects reflect lıght.Something that is red reflects mostly red light.In the same way ,a green object reflects mostly green light.White objets reflect all colors of light.What happens to the colors of light that are not reflected?they are absorbed by the object.The darker the color the less light is reflected and the more light is absorbed.light that is absorbed is turned into heat.For this reason dark colored are warmer in sunlight than lighter colored clothes...

Yesterday i read a text in my friend's book.it was really funny.A couple in Japan has a baby.a nurse gives the baby to the father .Father says to the baby Çe-yang-song.after a while they have a baby again.father says to the baby Yung-şin-song.Their third baby is a black which is really suprising,father says:Something is wrong....

NOISE

with advancing technology the rate of death decreased and population increased.And with the increase of population there have been a lot of problems one of wwhich is noise.The problem of our age.the problem i hate most.When i am in bus there is noise .When i am in campus there is noise.when i am in canteen there is noise sometimes loudly sometimes in a whisper...i think or i want ,we should stop tospeak and listen to the voice of ourselves or just silince...

depression

we have some sort of depression in a period of our lives.it is caused by stress we all know.the level of stress determines the effect of depression.in some cases its level is so low that we cant feel it.but in some cases it can be dangerous.in these cases ppl says profesional help is needed.and we can see some essays about how to cope with stress.but i think ppl who has depression disorder cant get over if they dont want to.when they go to a psychologist they think they can cope with it.but after they shut the psychologists door he returns the same mood before the meeting.so the person should really want to recover..

reading dog

a dog owner believes her peT has developed the ability to sort and deliver letters apparently by'reading' to whom they are addressed.
denver ,a five year old cocker spaniel, collects the mail as it drops trough the door of his home in Bornoldshwick ,North York, and then takes it to the various members of his owners family.
denver was supposed to take all the mail to his owner who is confined to a wheelchair .but he began to distinguish between her name and those of her boyfriend .
it's a really interesting news.in my opinion it is impossible for a dog to read .maybe he can distingiush between the lenghts of the names as her owner believes

does technology improve or does it a new problem

technology has some positive and negative effect on our lives.in business life,for example,some taskscan be carried out by a machine which was carried out by man in the oast .but on tha other hand it creats new jobs.i can't deny the benefit of technology but we should think about its bad effects.with development of technology we use the term global warming ,for example, and new technology is producing new types of illnesses affecting eyes,the spine so on...
